Bio
I am an engineer with a passion for solving emerging challenges, an innovator who creates opportunities during times of crisis. Simply put, I am an ENGINEER.
Currently a PhD candidate in my fourth year, my field of expertise is water engineering, particularly focused on management, treatment, and supply. Throughout my career, I’ve developed a broad skill set in:
- Water Engineering
- Problem-solving
- Leadership
- Narrative storytelling that motivates (as others often tell me)
Through hard work, perseverance, and a touch of good fortune, I am proud to say that I’ve enjoyed a successful career, earning two prestigious awards along the way. Throughout my journey, I have had the opportunity to undertake a variety of tasks, including:
- Leading three completed and one ongoing research project, involving experimental research, proposal writing, and report preparation.
- Serving as a lecturer for two German-speaking engineering subjects since April 2018, teaching “Mechanical Process Engineering in Water Treatment” to both master’s and bachelor’s students.
- Presenting research findings at 10+ national and international conferences, contributing to one peer-reviewed journal and one conference paper.
- Supervising seven research master’s theses.
- Providing ongoing guidance to students before, during, and after their academic journey.
My PhD research focuses on the optimization of polyether sulfone ultrafilters for the treatment of oily produced water.
When I’m not working, I cherish time spent with my family and close friends. Outside of my professional life, I indulge in several hobbies:
Blogger on water-related topics, personal development, migration, and German language teaching on my personal blog www.immigrant-dolphin.com, and co-moderator for two Arabic-speaking blogs, www.hudhuda.com with my wife and www.wieawo.de with two other friends.
Amateur web developer, exploring HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and WordPress.
If you ever need support, guidance, or advice on emotional, career, study, or migration-related matters, feel free to reach out. I’m always open to helping and collaborating with others. Together, we can make it happen!
